Great video again :). This morning after having my boys’ room in order, going in and doing a quick pickup of clothes and making the little boys bed and putting a load of their laundry away, took me less than 5 minutes. Amazing how quick it goes. I unloaded/reloaded and made breakfast in probably half an hour and then cleaned everything up because it was ready to go. I’m scared to time myself on cleaning the laundry room, its pretty bad but I’m also curious now how long it would take if i just got into it and did it. May make cleaning it later go faster because I know bad it took x amount of time, cleaner should take much less! Something I have learned, if you clean up from supper immediately, it takes much less time than if you let everything sit, get hard, get stuck to the table, etc. Much faster to do it right away.

Going to do that! I’ve done it before, always amazed at how much different it looks. Also if someone walks in and is used to seeing it dirty they say WOW what happened?! I saw what, its clean! I want it to always be that way, with some grace but the norm to be clean. THanks for the great video! Time to get working on it

Here is progress, today before going out I made a point to fill the sink with hot water and get dishes soaking, switch the laundry around and do a quick pick up of the living room so it looks nice when we walked back in . It was so nice to come in and know that this room is ready for the evening, for the most part, and it didn’t need attention as soon as we came in.

I love doing a roast in the crockpot or oven with potatoes, last time I did potato casserole, I usually do mashed buy Kevin likes the casserole and I hadn’t made it in awhlie so I did that with green beans and bacon I think. I add carrots and onions and it makes a good meal. Bread if I have it made, this time I made my bread into little rolls with my muffin pan, made them into 3 little balls then put the 3 into one place in the tin and baked, I baked a little long but they were still good. next time they only need 15-20 mins i think before i check, not 30 🙂

Ok, so I think i understand, please clarify if i’m wrong. Here is my “example” that is in my head. My time inventory was no where near what should be for my day so I’m going with if my day is how it should or at least is better than was.

    Do & Need to do-
    Dishes-1 hr
    Laundry-1 hr
    Prepare meals-2 hr
    Eat-2 hr
    Sleep-7 hr
    Daily Cleaning-2 hr

    Should be donig
    Homeschool-1 hr
    Child Training-1 hr
    Excercise-15 min

    Want to do-
    Sewing-30 min
    Reading-30 min

I’m sure it will have more than that but that totals to 18 hr and 15 min. Then I know that daily I need to spend that muc htime on the top list at minimum, “should be doing” list is second and want to do is last if time allots. Is that right???? Or am I completely lost…. 🙂

I will join,, going to watch a video and relax and get my little one comforted then think during that. I’m thinking 20 mins 3x a day as well. With maybe 1 extra session as a bonus if everything is completed….. this wil lbe hard. our computer is our tv so its to easy to get on and take time. Maybe that’s a good thing, time to get it under control. Ok, after this afternoon nap, I will allow myself 1 20 min session this evening after everything is don and kids are down then 1 hour a day after that. Sunday may be the one day that is more becuase it is our rest and relax, kids nap, DH and I enjoy a game together so that may be my one exception BUT I will still try to set a limit for that.

After gymnastics this morning I am going to finish my kitchen (its needed it all week) and then we are moving some large desk units around in the living room and started part of it last night so need to spend time working on that today as well so hopefully I can have it done before he gets home. I know he doesn’t mind helping me with it since they are large but I also know he is tired so would love to surprise him with it all being moved, maybe not all put back to rights but moved is a big progress. I think he would be plesently surprised to come home and see it done. I asked last night if he would help he said he would but no guarantees, he has just been exhausted this week so hopefully i can get it moved on my own and make his evening more relaxing knowing that isn’t hanging there needing done.

One thing for toys, like GC said she uses bins. What I did was buy the plastic shoe boxes from walmart, they are about $1 each and I sorted by types of toys into each one. One was blocks, one was a block train, one cars, one barbie, random girl toys, trains etc. I did that and if the toys didn’t go into that category or warrant its own, I put them in a big tub and took them down to where we have some things stored, I need to just get rid of it because they haven’t asked for it and nothing is missed. On the child training, I’m still learning too! I have a 5,4,2, and 3 month old so I’m right in the middle, we are starting schoool and they enjoy it but we only do an hour or so a day and then we move on. Right now we are still “on break” so I’m not rushing to much into it. They are enjoying playing but not having a scheduled day isn’t helping anyone especially me so next week we are going to jump back into the schedule and hopefully the week after school, if not i’m not going to stress it.

i asked my husband this the other day, his response was clean clothes, hot food, clean house, we have littles so toys out is one thing but large mess in another. I know he enjoys breakfast but it has to be consistent not hit and miss so I need to get better at that especially because there are days if I don’t send lunch he doens’t get a chance to eat or it is later than normal so that would help hold him til supper if he can’t get lunch on certain days or it is later.

I also love Jessica, your post. Yes good enough, everything done but the casserole that needs to soak. Kids playing on the floor yes there is a mess but they are currently playing, for me I know i can see where the mess they were just playing with was left and they moved on, then that creates a bigger mess that isn’t needed. I want our home lived in but not chaos.

Great video but ouch! Yes our time inventory shows where our time goes and unfortunatly mine does not go where it should. It goes out the window with nothing to show for it. You said in the video our husbands go to work and keep on task, we are left at home to manage our own time. My husband has said before in general conversation, if this were a job, would you be employed? Are you working through your day. Yes there are breaks and times we can sit down but if there is work to be done are we doing it or are we putting it off. It never gets better only worse seems like around here. This year I’m going to “work” my job better.
