"God has really shown me a lot through this course and through other things … about the importance of my role as a wife, mother and homemaker. I’m finally getting it now! This is not just something I have to do in order to get over with and get onto things I like better... but is something I need to put my whole heart into, take initiative in, motivate myself and plan ahead. Thank you so much for all your emails and lessons, Jennifer, they have helped a lot."
"[What] I have learned …has allowed me to focus more fully on my children, the home, and growing more fully in other aspects of my life. I am so grateful for having made the decision to do this course. …I feel so much more confident in my ability to make and maintain a good home."
"I’m making an effort to be much more mindful of the time I waste. I see now how many hours I let slip away that could really make a difference in how my home looks and feels."
Welcome to the Front Porch!
In the early 1900s the traditional American front porch represented the ideal of community. It was where the sanctity of the home met the neighborhood outside and it served to connect individuals. Likewise, the Front Porch here at Homemakers Academy seeks to represent the ideal of online community for the Christian homemaker. While not a substitute real-life interactions, we do pray the Front Porch aids you in building your home as a wise, Proverbs 14:1 woman.
